PATCH TEST INSTRUCTIONS

will any of the treatments hurt?

Do I need to do a patch test?

An LVL Lash treatment combined with a tint, some Express eyelash extensions or some corner extensions will keep your lashes looking lovely.

There's something for everyone, however natural or glam you want to look.

A patch test will be required.
This can either be sent to you by post for you to perform at home (once the pigment has been applied, I will require a photo for your
medical records), or get in touch and I can do this for you at the salon.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

A deposit of £50 is required in the case of all semi permanent make-up treatments to secure your appointment.

All deposits paid are non-refundable in the event of cancellation, however if you re-schedule your appointment within 72-hrs your deposit will not be lost and will be deducted from your final bill on the day.

Do any of the treatments hurt?

None of the treatments hurt.

The semi permanent make-up can feel a little prickly and the area will appear a bit pink immediately after the treatment.
I supply full aftercare instructions and creams for use after treatment.

can I wear make-up to my treatment

I will always cleanse the area thoroughly before we start but please attend your lash or brow treatment make-up free for the best possible results.

In the case of eyelash enhancement treatment please remove all false lashes beforehand.

I have a medical condition. can i still have treatments?

If you have a medical condition and are under doctors' supervision, you will be required to prove that you are suitable for semi-permanent make-up treatment.

If you have a medical condition that you believe may affect the treatment please contact me to discuss. Failure to let me know of any medical condition could result in poor results, cancellation of booking and loss of deposit.

I am pregnant. Can I still have treatments?

Sorry but I cannot perform semi permanent make-up treatments if you are pregnant or nursing.

is there anything I should not do, prior to coming for a semi permanent make-up treatment?

Avoid alchohol and caffeine prior to any semi permanent make-up procedure. No sun beds, sweating or tanning prior to the procedure or after for 14 days. If you have botox, it should be performed 8 weeks prior or 8 weeks after your treatment.

DO NOT take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E and / or Ibuprofen unless medically necessary, 48-72 hrs prior to your procedure.

For more in depth instructions please read the pre-booking info for each treatment here. Eyelash enhancement. Microblading.

how long will my semi permanent make-up last?

The healing and success of semi permanent make-up treatments depend on the individual skin, type, lifestyle and of course aftercare.

Brows will require a top-up 6-8 weeks after initial treatment and can last for up to two years.

Eyelash enhancement requires a top-up 4-6 weeks after initial treatment and can last for approximately one year.

can I get my lashes or brows wet after treatment?

It is advised not to get your new lashes or brows wet for up to 2 weeks after treatment. I will supply full aftercare instructions after your treatment and shower protectors are available to purchase.

is there a healing process for semi permanent make-up?

It is perfectly normal to expect some or all of the following symptoms (depending on which treatment you have had): Flaking, tenderness, dryness, swelling, redness, puffiness, itchy, and a feeling
of scratchy and tired eyes.

The colour may also change, go patchy or fade (depending on which treatment you have had) and will begin to resurface in 3-4 weeks.

Don't worry! It is all perfectly normal and why I ask that you have a top-up. See the brow healing sequence here.
